Why have an upper lip lift?
Over time, the skin of the upper lip loses its elasticity and becomes sagging. Under the effect of gravity, the white part of the lip lengthens and the red part becomes thinner.
Goals
Upper lip lift makes it possible to shorten the white part of the upper lip to make it look younger. At the same time, it allows the height of the red part to be increased by making it fuller without using fillers such as hyaluronic acid. Moreover, it is this second objective that is sought in young patients.
What it cannot do
The upper lip lift does not smooth the small vertical lines above the upper lip known as sun pleats or “barcode”.
Scar
The scar is hidden in the crease at the junction between the nose and the upper lip. Once healed, it is almost invisible.
