Fat transfer to the hips and buttocks or BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) is an increasingly popular operation. It is the procedure that increases the volume of the buttocks and hips by reinjection the autologous fat taken from other areas of the body. It is therefore a natural buttocks augmentation.

Why have a BBL?

The shape and proportion of a person’s buttocks is largely determined by genetics; the structure of the skeleton and the way the body stores fat influence the appearance of the lower body. A healthy diet and regular physical activity can help achieve the correct body weight and tone muscles, but many patients remain unhappy with a “flat” and / or narrow buttock that lacks shape, despite a healthy lifestyle.

Although these parts of the body are a main characteristic of femininity, many men too long for a butt that is better suited to the upper body.

Buttock lipofilling is the best solution, especially if the patient is embarrassed by a localized excess of fat elsewhere.

Goals

Buttock lipofilling aims to:

  • increase fullness, firmness, roundness and projection of the buttocks
  • increase the width of the hips
  • fill the gluteal hollow (hip dip)
  • slightly lift sagging buttocks

As fat collection requires liposuction in other areas of the body, we would kill two birds with one stone.

What buttock lipofilling cannot do

It does not allow:

  • improve the appearance of cellulite or very little
  • remove excess of skin
  • to lift very dropping buttocks

Scar

The aspiration and reinjection of fat is done through small holes a few millimeters long, well hidden in different parts of the body and which, once healed, are almost invisible.
