Labiaplasty is thesurgery that aims to reduce the size of a woman’s labia minora. It is one of the most popular genital rejuvenation procedures and helps relieve the symptoms of tightness and twisting of the labia minora.
Why have a labiaplasty?
The “normal” size of the labia minora is difficult to define. However, it is admitted that the labia minora must not protrude (or very little) beyond the labia majora.
Some women have relatively protruding labia minora. Although this should not be considered a malformation, it can cause aesthetic or functional discomfort.
Aesthetic discomfort is subjective and depends on the person’s idea of an ideal vulva. Sometimes it may just be the protrusion of the labia minora in the bikini. Functional discomfort, on the other hand, consists of pain or irritation during sex or other activities such as cycling.
Either way, labiaplasty is the solution.
Goals
Labiaplasty reduces the length of the labia minora so that they do not protrude beyond the labia majora.
What labiaplasty cannot do
Labiaplasty does not tighten the entrance to the vagina. For this you need a vaginoplasty, preferably performed by a gynecologist.
Scar
The labia minora being mucous membranes, they heal very well and very quickly. There is no visible scar.
